I have a strong feeling in learning physics as the limitation of knowledge in this fields, 2018 is the 125th anniversary of The Physical Review, it selected 49 papers and events significance to physics:

The American Physical Society (APS) is proud to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Physical Review journals. To commemorate this milestone, the editors present a timeline of select papers and events that are of significance to physics and to the history of the APS. From Robert Millikan’s famous oil drop experiments to the discovery of gravitational waves, the Physical Review journals have published a wide range of important results, many of which have been recognized with Nobel and other notable prizes.

These 49 papers and events may aren't a full view of physics, most as the standpoint of APS and The Physical Review, so I use the next 49 articles most for the cognition of physical history and English I eager to familiar with

You can find all the papers and events list here

About Physical Review:

Physical Review is an American peer-reviewed scientific journal established in 1893 by Edward Nichols. It publishes original research as well as scientific and literature reviews on all aspects of physics. It is published by the American Physical Society (APS). The journal is in its third series, and is split in several sub-journals each covering a particular field of physics. It has a sister journal, Physical Review Letters, which publishes shorter articles of broader interest.

And Physical Review Letters:

Physical Review Letters (PRL), established in 1958, is a peer-reviewed, scientific journal that is published 52 times per year by the American Physical Society. As also confirmed by various measurement standards, which include the Journal Citation Reports impact factor and the journal h-index proposed by Google Scholar, many physicists and other scientists consider Physical Review Letters to be one of the most prestigious journals in the field of physics.
