I like remote work, even when I was working in an office many years ago, at that time, I would sneak out to a coffee shop and work for hours. Remote work would be more relaxing, I can combine working with any personal staff, so more work-life balance and more efficient
Remote work is synchronization, office work is synchronization, huge difference between them, so remote work need stronger self-driven and goal-orientation, all training for employee(and manager) should force on self-driven and goal-orientation
self-driven: Agree to the goal of the organization, enjoy challenges and strong responsibility
goal-orientation: Accept OKR
engineer-culture: Prefer sharing more than reporting
In a remote work organization, I think the right ppl are way more important than the right arrangement, and to an organization really good at remote work, then they definitely deserve that much freedom
