Unhappy learning is you learn something by repeating, tbh actually some fundamental knowledge only can be learned by repeating, such as human languages and mathematics
Learning is repeating(learning is memorization, and memorization is about repeating), and repeating is not wildly accepted by everyone, to people who accepted it, two reasons behind the scenes:
By force from outside. In some cultures, children go to school without happiness, and adults work and build families for a hierarchy, so repeating is all by force, you have to, you don’t have many other options
By force from inside. If you got choices, why choose to repeat something rather than enjoy something else? Understanding the importance is one of the reasons I can think. And why a repeat action would be important? It varies for different people at different stages of life
There are two ways to understand the importance(of repeating):
By induction. You truly believe it from someone you trust, or you truly believe it from a religion
By deduction. If you are good at logic, you would have some repeat items from your derivations
PS: You can learn a thing called Zen by repeating a thing(even a thing seems meaningless), you keep on repeating it until you master the spirit of Zen, then you understand the meaning of repeating, and no more unhappy learning in the world to you anymore(after you understand the meaning of meaningless)
