Everyone on earth will die right now, but things are rapidly changing, new technology involves quickly, sooner or later, we human will start to live for longer and longer, so I think there should be some reasons to make it necessarily instead of don’t know why
1. Life seems like too short
Time can exist forever, but the boundary of human life only has 100 years, the gap between these two numbers is huge, just like compare with the whole life of sun to one second. There is no reason why human shouldn’t live longer then 100 years, most people can’t understand the purpose of life until 100 years old, so if human can live 1000 years, then human can use the first 100 years to think about it~
2. Human need live longer to learn language
There are at least 2 languages are extremely important right now: English and Math. Both difficult to learn and need huge time to practice, maybe 20 years for English and another 20 years for Math would be ready enough to use them with each other. The second important languages are programming, then you can talk to computer and robot. If human can live 1000 years, then the first 100 year at kindergarten should all be used to learn several kinds of languages
3. People can restart life once again
If you can only live 100 years, then your life would be fixed on one rail, and you can’t restart it again easily, but if you can live 1000 years, you can chose 10 different life models and experience them one by one, I think this is much fair and equal to everybody born differently, also I think it will bring people more happiness if they have more choice, because if you like, you can just disappear decade for something you confuse and back to your original life again after you solve your problem
4. Travel to other solar system
The universe is so big, 100 years is nothing to it’s enormousness, the blue marble human being living right now is radically small, human need 6000 years to travel to neighbor star Proxima Centauri, need 75 billion years to travel to neighbor galaxy Andromeda Galaxy, and need much more time to travel more far away, so this little cute humanoid species definitely need to live longer to know what they are doing about
